Glass pendant light over dining table, travertine finishes — Apartment 50Milan | The Design Tales

APARTMENT #50

Professional work  | Milan, Italy | 2024

This Milan-based project captures a refined, contemporary style that balances warmth with sophistication. The design embraces a minimalist aesthetic, focusing on clean lines and understated elegance while incorporating rich, earthy tones and warm neutrals.

A combination of polished white marble, dark wood, ribbed wood paneling, and brass accents brings a layered richness to the spaces. Textured fabrics in shades such as olive green and muted orange add warmth and a natural quality to the rooms. Glass and metal details are used sparingly but purposefully, adding contrast and an element of sleek modernity to the otherwise organic palette.

The plush, mustard velvet sectional in the living space makes a bold statement, complemented by sculptural silver coffee tables and abstract art that adds visual interest. The bedroom features soft, upholstered bed frames with simple, neutral bedding, while built-in shelves and wardrobes provide seamless storage and functionality. The lighting, a blend of pendant and recessed options, is thoughtfully designed to create a soft, welcoming glow that accentuates the textures and finishes throughout.

Soft natural light filters throughout the spaces, enhancing the atmosphere and highlighting the carefully chosen textures and colors. The overall effect is a calm, inviting interior that feels both luxurious and livable, embodying the spirit of modern Italian design.
